All titles on this site are distributed as PDF files.

How to read a downloaded ebook

Every title in the library is provided in PDF format. Once a file has been saved to your device, the steps below cover the usual route from download to reading.

  1. Save the file Choose a folder you can find again, for example a "Books" folder in your documents directory.
  2. Open it in a PDF reader Any standard PDF viewer will open the file; most computers and phones already include one.
  3. Adjust the view Use zoom and page-fit controls to set a comfortable text size, and use the sidebar to jump between pages.
  4. Read offline The saved file stays available without a connection, so it can be opened on a train, a plane or anywhere else.
  5. Add notes and bookmarksMost viewers can highlight passages, add your own notes and bookmark the pages you want to return to.

Keep the original file as well as any highlighted copy, so the readable version stays intact for later reference.

Supported format

PDF is the format used across the collection, covering technical manuals, reference works and fiction alike. Titles are catalogued with their size and page count, which helps you plan reading on a smaller screen.

Sample listing details include the release name, file size, format and number of pages, followed by a link to the file.
